Miss World beauty pageant to be held in Hyderabad should be cancelled : AIDWA, P.O. W, DYFI, PYL, PDSU demand

AIDWA, P.O.W, PYL, DYFI, PDSU organized a protest with black flags at the statue of Subhash Chandra Bose at the bus stand center in Nalgonda district center demanding immediate cancellation of the ‘Miss World’ beauty pageant to be held in Hyderabad from May 7 to 31.

On this occasion, AIDWA District Secretary Paladugu Prabhavathi said that the Telangana government is allocating crores of rupees for this pageant and is touting it as a very profitable revenue generating project for the state.
This is a great opportunity for Telangana's tourism sector, for development in sectors like food, hospitality, tourism, handlooms and investments. They argued that this is an opportunity and questioned who is running the Miss World beauty pageant for whom. After globalization, corporate companies have turned their attention to India, even though it is the largest market to sell their products profitably.
