Minister Seethakka Calls for Comprehensive Preparations for Medaram Jatara 2026

To ensure the grand success of the upcoming Medaram Maha Jatara in 2026, State Minister for Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, Rural Water Supply, and Women & Child Welfare, Smt. Danasari Anasuya Seethakka, has instructed officials from all departments to begin coordinated and detailed advance planning.Chairing a high-level review meeting at the District Collectorate on Tuesday, Minister Seethakka emphasized the need for permanent infrastructure and preventive measures, especially in view of the impending monsoon.

She directed officials to prioritize public safety, ensure uninterrupted drinking water supply, maintain sanitation, and be vigilant against seasonal diseases. District Collector Divakar T.S., SP Shabarish, ITDA PO Chitra Mishra, DFO Rahul Kishan Jadhav, Additional Collectors Mahender G and Sampath Rao, and other senior district officials participated in the review. Chairman of the Library Council Ravi Chander and Medaram temple priests were also present.

“Many of the officers who handled previous Jatara arrangements are still in charge. Their experience should guide this year’s planning to avoid inconvenience to devotees,” the Minister remarked.

She noted that road development works worth ₹33 crore are already underway. She instructed that permanent Jatara infrastructure be completed with high quality. Cleanliness in and around Medaram must be strictly maintained during the event, with proper toilets and continuous clean drinking water made available. She asked officials to pay special attention to the Gaddelu areas, ensuring devotees face no hardships.
