Govt is procuring paddy, do not sell outside : Minister Ponnam Prabhakar

Telangana Transport and Backward Classes Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Wednesday assured that the state government is actively procuring paddy and urged farmers not to sell their produce outside the official procurement system.

Speaking after inaugurating the Paddy Procurement Centre (PPC) of the Visala Sahakari Parpati Sangam in Saidapur, Karimnagar district, the Minister emphasised that additional procurement centres would be established wherever necessary.
He further stated that all bonus payments for the previous paddy crop have been cleared, and advised farmers with pending payment issues to bring them to the attention of the Joint Collector.
