Call for a National Mission to End Child Labour : Dr. Bandi Sayanna, President, SCOPE

Nellore, June 16: On the occasion of the World Day Against Child Labour, the organisation Spandana Cultural Organisation for Progressive Education (SCOPE), which has been working for the protection and promotion of child rights in the Sangareddy, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri and Jangaon districts, stated that the growing awareness and coordination between the districts administration and civil society offer strong hope that the dream of a child labour-free Sangareddy, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri and Jangaon will soon be realised.

The organisation reported that, with the support of the districts administration, it conducted 4 rescue operations over the past year and rescued Ravi Kanth, National Convenor, JRC 461 children from exploitative labour practices. Multiple programs were held across the districts to raise awareness against child labour, during which people pledged their commitment to eradicating this practice from society. On the occasion of World Day Against Child Labour 8 number of children were rescued in the districts.
