Viable approach to resuscitating SA cities

THE many serious problems plaguing all our cities were ignored for decades and it may not be fair to expect provincial mayors to single handedly fix the cities which are in a state of neglect and decay, in anticipation of the G20 summit which is scheduled to take place five months from now.

This requires co-operation among many GNU portfolios.

The communications department not only has to raise community awareness but also the need to put up billboards to educate communities to keep our cities clean by proper disposal of rubbish, and the provision of bins within reach.
