Family one of big reasons for Siya's return to the Stormers

TWO-TIME World Cup-winning Springbok captain Siya Kolisi will depart the Sharks and rejoin the Stormers at the conclusion of the United Rugby Championship next year, the Cape franchise confirmed in a statement yesterday.
Kolisi will return to the Cape in July 2026 and fulfil an important role mentoring the next generation as the Stormers continue to build their squad depth and maturity as part of Project 2029.
The move will allow Kolisi to be closer to his family and also make a meaningful contribution to the team where it all began for him after he left school at Grey High in Gqeberha.
The experienced Kolisi will not be the first or the last player to return to Cape Town and add significant value both on and off the pitch, as the club continues to strengthen its resources.
The iconic leader's professional rugby journey started in Cape Town after he left school, and he is now poised to add to his 118 Stormers caps.
