Uncertainty for aerospace firm as plans to leave Cambridge fall through

THE future location of an aerospace company, currently based at Cambridge Airport is uncertain, after relocation plans fell through.

Marshall made its plans to move away from the airport public in 2019. The Marshall site is expected to be filled with 12,000 homes.

However, an initial proposal to relocate to Cranfield University’s base in Bedfordshire are “no longer affordable", according to the company.

A spokesperson for Marshall said: “Cranfield has been our preferred option for the relocation of our aerospace operations, and we have taken time to explore it carefully.
