City hair salon given go-ahead to serve its clients alcohol

A HAIR salon in Cambridge has been told it can serve its clients a cocktail or a glass of Prosecco at their appointments.

Morresi Hairstylist, in King Street, had asked Cambridge City Council for a licence to sell alcohol to customers to offer clients a “premium experience”.

The salon had originally asked to be able to sell alcohol to customers between 9am and 7pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, and between 9am and 9pm on a Thursday.

A member of the public raised concerns that allowing the salon to serve alcohol to clients to this extent could be “excessive”.
