Arabica coffee gains 4% as cocoa also up; sugar down

Arabica coffee futures on ICE gained 4% on Wednesday, recouping the prior session’s steep losses, while cocoa futures closed up and further away from this week’s two-month lows.

COCOA: New York cocoa settled up $39, or 0.6%, to $7,065 a metric ton after hitting a two-month low of $6,896 on Tuesday.
Dealers said industry buying had helped stabilize the market after the recent decline in prices, which was driven partly by origin hedge-selling ahead of the start of the 2025/26 season on Oct. 1.
‘The prospect of a further delay in the implementation of the EU’s anti-deforestation law has also contributed to this week’s decline in prices.
