Prez to visit Angola, Botswana to boost trade ties

President Droupadi Murmu will be on a six-day foreign tour starting Saturday, visiting the African nations of Angola and Botswana, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Thursday.

During her visit to Angola from November 8 to 11, the two countries would seek to strengthen their energy cooperation. Angola is the second largest supplier of energy in Africa, while India is Angola’s third biggest purchaser of oil and gas. Bilateral trade stood at $4.2 billion in 2022-23.
