Mkts slide for 4th day amid H-1B visa woes

Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty fell for the fourth consecutive day on Wednesday due to profit-taking in banking, auto, and capital goods shares, as well as foreign fund outflows, amid concerns over US H-1B visa fees.

The 30-share BSE Sensex dropped 386.47 points or 0.47 per cent to end at 81,715.63. During the day, it tanked 494.26 points or 0.60 per cent to 81,607.84. The 50share NSE Nifty declined 112.60 points or 0.45 per cent to 25,056.90.
