Need to be laser-focused on competing to win, says Trump

DeepSeek, a Chinese AI startup, has caused a stir in the AI world with its remarkable success. While US President Trump is investing heavily in AI to maintain competitiveness, OpenAI Chief Executive Officer Sam Altman praised its R1 model, calling it "an impressive model".
In a statement issued on Monday Nvidia said the Chinese AI firm's advances show the usefulness of its chips for the Chinese market and that more of its chips will be needed in the future to meet demand for DeepSeek's services.
