Palace sets aside funds for UNSC campaign

MALACANANG has allocated P20.78 million for the campaign to secure a non-permanent seat at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).

In his recent visit to the US, President Marcos pressed the Philippines’ campaign for a seat in the prestigious UN body.

Marcos has just concluded his two-day working visit in the US, during which he participated in the events of the United Nations (UN) on Wednesday.

The highlight of the visit was the President’s speech at the UN General Assembly special session, where he called on the 193 UN member states to support the country’s bid for a non-permanent seat in the UNSC.
