Campi milestone award; momentous TGR blast-off

THE Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (Campi) is not just about producing vehicles, about selling cars.

It’s also about helping make our environment worthwhile to live in.

For this, Campi was recognized as one of the Environmental Sustainability Partners at the recent 2026 Gawad Kabalikat sa Kapaligiran of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources - Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB).

The EMB recognition acknowledges organizations and partners that demonstrate strong environmental performance, support sustainability initiatives and uphold environmental regulations.

COLLABORATION

THE Awards ceremony highlighted the importance of collaboration among government, industry and communities in protecting natural resources and improving environmental quality.

Said Elvin Luciano: “For Campi, the recognition underscores the value of close coordination between regulators and the automotive sector in advancing national industry growth.”

Luciano, of course, is the senior vice president for corporate affairs of Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) under the wings of the eminent Jojo Villanueva.

He has committed to extend assistance to Campi’s strategies in a bid to make the association constantly grounded and relevant to the changing times.
