Talk time could help schedule, says boss

Bowyer has had his say on the EFL scheduling and has his own idea on how to improve it for the future.Just this past weekend, Burton Albion had to play on Sunday because their opponents Peterborough had played the Thursday night prior meaning they couldn't play Saturday.

Incredibly, Peterborough’s opponents on the Thursday, Port Vale, had also played two days before that.

Bowyer suggested a setup of coaches and players where conversations can take place and debriefs.

He said: “You now see that there’s a little bit of movement to change because the Premiership boys are kicking off. These lads just get on with it regardless and I think it’s a credit to them but something certainly needs to be done.
