CRICKET Former England captain Michael Vaughan feels there will be no way back for Ben Stokes' team if they lose the opening Ashes Test in Perth.

History is not on England's side given their poor return Down Under, with no victories at all in the past three tours.
Vaughan, who oversaw a memorable 2-1 series win in 2005 on home soil, believes England have to give themselves an early foothold - especially given Australia's injury worries - to then stand up to the challenges ahead in Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney.
