BURTON'S Sonic Boom music festival is set to return in 2026 after this year's event was hailed as a 'triumph.

- By JOSEPH RICHARDS

The town’s biggest live attraction, which featured performances in Market Place as well as pubs and venues around the town centre, will return on Saturday, September 12, next year, organisers confirmed.

Thousands of residents and visitors filled the town centre for this year's event, which was headlined by alternative band Everything Everything.

The free one-day festival featured a main stage and Aftershock - a multi-venue showcase uniting national touring acts with Burton’s own rising stars.
