BURTON Albion striker Jake Beesley says this free week without a match can be both a "reset" and a "recharge" as they look ahead to the final ten games of their League One season.

It was a disappointing Saturday afternoon for the Brewers as a whole as they lost by one goal to Stevenage but they are putting the work in ahead of Northampton away this weekend.

Beesley is one of the first names on the team sheet for Gary Bowyer every week and is out in front as top scorer in the league for Albion with 12 goals already but, for whatever reason, it just did not click on Saturday.

On what went wrong, Beesley said: "We weren't at the races, especially first half, then we gave them a moment on transition and they scored it and the way they play, they're really good at what they do and we just didn't to enough to overcome it.
