DAD LAUNCHES FUNDRAISER FOLLOWING 'PATHETIC CRIME'
A BURTON family are hoping to raise £1,000 after their allotment was ransacked by thieves.
Adam French has launched the appeal following the break-in at his plot at Regatta Lane Allotments, just off Burton Road in Branston.
The tool shed and the summer house were broken into, with thieves taking £1,400 worth of goods including petrol tools, a water pump, and a rotavator.
Most upsetting for Adam was the fact his bike, which he uses for transport as he doesn’t own a car, and his five-year-old daughter Melody’s trailer and craft supplies were also taken.
Adam said: "The only saving grace was they left her new bike in the summer house.
