Time to reassess the value of these 'exhibition' games

IS it time to rethink these 'exhibition' games? Since the Bears introduced the concept, we've won one, drawn one and lost three.

The sole victory was that memorable night against a South African XV when there was a full house, a Bears squad stacked with first team players and a fireworks display that everyone could see. It set the bar high, but we haven't really got close since, both in terms of spectacle and in terms of bums on seats.

I totally appreciate what the club are trying to do, and I am not questioning the intent behind it. They are trying to add value to season-card holders in an era when there aren't enough properly competitive home fixtures, while also trying to attract new fans to the game.
