The Little Coffee Shop that's big on convenience

As a Saltford resident herself, Niamh Shannon knew exactly what the village was lacking when she bought the derelict local public toilet and turned it into a cafe.

Located just off the main road next to the memorial garden and community fruit garden, The Little Coffee Shop opened in June 2015 and it has been the meeting place for Saltford locals and passers-by for the past ten years. The public toilet had been closed for several years but Niamh realised the potential of the site, which is surrounded by houses and close to the local shops.

"Since we opened, we have had lots of support from the Saltford community, which is great - as I live in Saltford, I knew the village would benefit from a coffee shop," says Niamh.

"We're close by to the local primary school and nurseries, so we get a lot of customers before and after drop-off.
