Maintenance work shuts 'grater' bridge for weeks

THE footbridge known as the "cheese grater" has closed for three weeks for maintenance work.

Meads Reach Bridge, more widely referred to by its alternative name due to its distinctive appearance, is a 55m-long pedestrian and bike crossing which links Glass Wharf with the Temple Quay area and Bristol Temple Meads station.
A large area around the bridge was closed off on Monday, with temporary fencing erected and signs advising passersby of the closure.
