Horse racing Constitution's Hill return will be captivating to watch

That animal, in case anyone is wondering, is Constitution Hill, the superstar hurdler trained by Nicky Henderson for his great pal Michael Buckley who contests Newcastle's Fighting Fifth Hurdle tomorrow (2.00).

There was a time, not so long ago, when people considered the prospect that the gelding might be the greatest hurdler of all time, which was not just hype as Constitution Hill appeared flawless, travelling like he possessed the engine of a jumbo jet and dancing over his hurdles like the finest Russian ballerina.

Blessed with a bombproof temperament, he also had the ability to grab a race by its throat, sealing victory in a ruthless fashion that drew comparisons with Frankel, flat racing's greatest.
