Gym planning row Boss is sorry for upsetting locals

Kulture Training Club in Fishponds

Kulture Training Club has been open since July despite its owners having two applications seeking permission to turn its building - previously a car dealership - into a gym denied by the council.

One of the primary reasons for the gym's first application being refused, a day after it opened, was due to fears noise would disturb local residents. That proved to be the case, with the gym attracting a series of complaints from people living nearby after it opened.

Despite taking measures to mitigate the problem, such as installing a noise limiter, Kulture's owners were refused permission to turn the building into a gym again at the end of January.
