Glasto chant row Brewery shock at boss's online post
Bristol Post
|July 02, 2025
A POPULAR Bristol brewery has apologised for a social media tirade by its owner which strongly criticised Glastonbury festivalgoers who sang along with "death, death to the IDF" chants.
Bobby Vylan, one half of the British rap punk duo, led crowds at Glastonbury Festival's West Holts Stage on Saturday in chants of “Free, free Palestine” and “Death, death to the IDF [Israel Defence Forces]”.
Avon and Somerset Police said they had launched a probe on Monday into both Vylan’s and Irish rap trio Kneecap's performances at the festival after reviewing video footage and audio recordings, with a senior detective appointed to lead it.
In response to the performance, Justin Hawke, inset, founder of Moor Beer Company in St Philip's, hit out at crowds who sang along with the chant.
