AFTER a standout year with bat and ball, Gloucestershire’s Graeme van Buuren has extended his contract by a further year, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2027 season.

Since joining Gloucestershire in 2016, the versatile all-rounder has been a mainstay of the first team across all formats. A consistent performer with both bat and ball, van Buuren has amassed 5,855 runs, including 10 centuries, while also taking 160 wickets and 76 catches during his time in Bristol.

The Pretoria-born spinner also captained Gloucestershire for three County Championship seasons, leading the side to memorable victories around the country before stepping down from the role at the start of 2025. Since then, he has continued to provide invaluable insight and experience on and off the field.

In 2025, Graeme scored two centuries in the County Championship and was the Shire’s second-highest wicket-taker in first-class cricket with 24 in 14 matches.
