APPLE Day! Now there's a celebration I can get behind.
There's an event with some meaning, relevance and purpose, unlike so many other of the highly contrived celebrations of various items of food and drink.
Thanks to the PR industry, these now pepper the calendar utterly meaninglessly. When they were first thought up back in the '80s they seemed a useful way of raising awareness of neglected foodstuffs.
