16TH CENTURY BUILDING GETS A MAKEOVER WITH EXTENSIVE RESTORATION
A LANDMARK Lincolnshire building has re-opened as a boutique hotel and café following an extensive restoration. The Old King's Head in Kirton, near Boston is under new stewardship.
The 16th-century building has been at the heart of village life for over 400 years, and during this time it has been everything from an inn, brewery, residence and social club. The opening has been announced by Heritage Lincolnshire in partnership with Poyntons Chartered Surveyors.
The Grade-two listed building has been sensitively brought back to life thanks to Heritage Lincolnshire and support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Architectural Heritage Fund, and Investors in Lincoln.
