THE Limpopo police have said that contingency plans are active and will extend the recent protest demonstration as the province prepares for tensions linked to the nationwide 'March and March Movement' demonstrations related to cross-border migrants.
Deputy Provincial Commissioner Maj Gen Jan Scheepers said the police are coordinating daily with national structures, the State Security Agency, Home Affairs and other stakeholders. "I want to assure you that we are not only dealing with this as a province, we are dealing with it as a country. Even last night, we had a long meeting. So we know step by step what is happening in the country and what is developing, he explained.
