Get growing to community garden opening

The official opening of Rattray’s popular community garden takes place this Saturday, June 28.
It is the culmination of five years of work by volunteers to enhance the space, off Balmoral Road, and is open to anyone interested in learning more about growing food and flowers as well as increasing biodiversity and nurturing the environment.
William Wilson, one of the driving forces behind the Blairgowrie and Rattray Development Trust (BRDT) initiative, is to carry out the opening at 2pm.
A former chair of Blairgowrie and Rattray in Bloom, he encouraged residents to attend the event.
He said: “We're really looking forward to the grand opening of Rattray Community Garden and to welcoming everyone to this wonderful space.
