Middle distance wins for Minns at Leigh meeting

Last weekend's Northern Track and Field League meeting at Leigh Sports Village saw Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde AC athletes shine.

Luke Minns won the men's 800m (1:55.4) and 1500m (3:58.8).

Paul Whittle competed in the 200m (24.5s), 400m hurdles (61.7s) and javelin (28.90m), while Chris Wylie ran the 5000m (20:21).

Jonathan Rutter did the 5000m (22:16.2), 400m hurdles (76.1s), long jump (5.04m), high jump (1.60m), triple jump (11.26m) and shot (7.88m).

The 4x100m relay team finished second.
