From kings of comedy to princesses of pop - enjoy a Grand day out this summer

Blackpool's landmark Grand Theatre has a packed programme this summer, with something to amuse kids complaining of summer holiday boredom, and plenty for adults looking for a great night out.

The 130-year-old, Grade II-listed theatre has an August lineup including children's classics, tributes to some of rock and pop legends and a new drama about some of the country's best-loved entertainers.

There's also an amazing chance to look behind the scenes of the theatre, which was designed by renowned Victorian theatre architect Frank Matcham - the man behind other iconic venues such as the Buxton Opera House, the King's Theatre in Glasgow, and London's Hackney Empire. Whatever your taste, there's bound to be something on the bill to suit you. Here's what's coming up this month.
