Detectives still keen for leads on girl's tragic disappearence

It is now 22 years since Charlene Downes disappeared

And police have confirmed that the investigation into the disappearance of teenager Charlene Downes, which has now passed the 22-year mark, is open.

Charlene was last seen on November 1 2003 at the age of 14 - and the disappeared in mysterious circumstances.

Her disappearance remains Lancashire Police's longest unsolved murder investigation and active case.

This week officers confirmed they would still welcome any new information.
