SHIRLEY resident Yasmin Paulson is founder of the BeKind charity and an unsung hero across the region.

Since suffering a stroke 20 years ago, Yasmin has dedicated her life to helping others and her newest campaign is an indication of her generous spirit.

Sock Choc is a simple act of care where people can visit a donation centre and help the homeless with a pair of socks and a bar of chocolate over Christmas.

Yasmin is restarting the initiative created by Ian Northcott, a former Birmingham police officer who was “chuffed” to hear Yasmin would be carrying on his legacy.
