'Roadside checks' warning to drivers

OFFICERS TARGETING MOTORISTS COMMITTING OFFENCES
Drink or drug driving, speeding, using a mobile device while driving, and not wearing a seatbelt remain the main causes of death or serious injury on our roads
DRIVERS have been warned of roadside checks and operations targeting those committing five offences behind the wheel.
So far this year, West Midlands Police says it has taken 7,000 uninsured vehicles off the road, with the number "continuing to rise daily".
