Police delay speed enforcement due to faulty cameras

POLICE forces will not be punishing drivers caught on motorways by variable speed cameras until they can be sure they are working properly, it has been reported.
-
It comes after it emerged motorists had been wrongly fined and issued penalty points because of a fault with the cameras.
They operate when temporary speed limits are in place on smart motorways, such as when there is congestion or an incident, including on the M6 in the West Midlands.
