PARENTS AND CARERS CALL FOR ACTION TO AVOID 'PREVENTABLE TRAGEDY'

A PETITION has been launched which is demanding traffic lights to protect pupils at a Birmingham primary school from a “preventable tragedy”.

There are calls for pedestrian lights for the entrance serving City Road School, which is situated on Cavendish Road in Edgbaston.

The petition, which had 180 names at the time of writing, claimed traffic was dangerous during peak hours and posed a safety threat.
