Old Hill happy with Saad day
Birmingham Mail
|July 16, 2025
HASAN Ahmed’s brilliant unbeaten 85 set Old Hill on their way to a memorable 69-run Graham Williamson T20 Challenge Cup final win over Knowle & Dorridge at sun-soaked Stourbridge.
As a result, Bilal Hassan’s side go on to represent the BDPCL on August 3 when they host three other ECB Premier League T20 winners in the area finals of the national competition.
On the back of Hasan’s fine effort, Old Hill posted a challenging 196 for three to which K&D responded with 127 all out.
His scintillating 53-ball knock included 12 boundaries and, with opening partner Waqas Ahmed (34) and Saad Naseem (37) offering strong support, the Haden Hill club set their Division One title-chasing rivals a challenging target.
Veteran slow left-armer Nick James (1-22) was the pick of a seven-strong K&D attack and George Maddy then fired the Warwick-shire club's chase out of the blocks by lashing seven fours and a six in a 14-ball 39.
