Match axed as footballer is victim of 'racial abuse'
Birmingham Mail
|September 15, 2025
A NON-league football match was abandoned at halftime following allegations of racism towards a Midland player.
Tividale FC player Jack Storer claimed he was racially abused during his team's home clash against 1874 Northwich on Saturday.
The Sandwell team were trailing 3-0 when the match at Tividale's Packwood Road was called off by officials.
Tividale confirmed it was working with Midland League Premier Division officials who have launched an investigation into the incident.
1874 Northwich said it strongly denied "any allegation of racism" at "this stage" but confirmed it would "work with the relevant authorities".
