Knowledge hub 'to rival Oxford and Cambridge'

BIRMINGHAM is to become the home of a £4 billion innovation superhub to 'rival London and Cambridge'.

The plans for a Birmingham Knowledge Quarter, which has been short-handed as B-KQ, were formally launched recently.

The project is backed with Government Investment Zone designation, which means it will attract financial incentives and grant funding.

The scheme was formally launched at the UK Real Estate, Infrastructure and Investment Forum in Leeds, where a large West Midlands delegation is promoting the region to developers to try to attract multi-million pound pledges to turn outline visions into reality.
