Horror film T-shirt man accused of deadly house fire

POLICE investigating a fatal arson which saw a wheelie bin blaze spread to an elderly couple’s home found a horror film T-shirt days after the fire, jurors heard.

Andrew Gorrell started an “utterly random" fire in a bin and moved it so it would “block” the front door of the home of John and Doreen Edwards, prosecutors say.
The elderly couple and their two children Mark and Carl Edwards were asleep inside when flames from the bin spread to their terraced property in Wednesbury on May 11, 2025.
John, 82, sustained severe burns and died in hospital two weeks later, while his wife and children survived.
