Good grief! Blues axe talk is total nonsense

Some disquiet has crept into Blues' forums and conversations over the past month due to the slow start the team has made in the Championship.

Seven points from the first three games increased excitement but Blues have only managed five from their last six and sit 16th in the table at the second international break of the season.

Chairman Tom Wagner has thrown his weight behind Davies and Goodman, who has watched most of Blues' games this season, believes the team has made an acceptable start and insists the manager's critics need to calm down.

"I've seen the good and the bad of Birmingham City," the pundit told football betting site talkSPORT Bet. "On the opening day against Ipswich, I thought they were sensational, and they actually convinced me that if they could retain that level of performance, they would have a chance of a playoff push at least.
