Davies plans to make more noise in window

CHRIS Davies says Blues still have 'work to do' in the transfer market as they seek to add quality to their squad as their Championship return looms.

- By BRIAN DICK

Blues have brought seven new players in, four of whom started last Saturday's 1-0 friendly loss at Burton, but Davies has suggested they aren’t done yet.

Kyogo Furuhashi, Phil Neumann, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Tommy Doyle were all in the XI at the Pirelli Stadium, with the first two playing an hour and the latter two coming off at halftime.

Demarai Gray made it a fifth new face when he replaced Keshi Anderson at the break and produced an eye-catching display while James Beadle was in goal as another Blues team lost 4-0 at Crewe.

The only player who hasn’t yet had minutes is number ten Kanya Fujimoto, who is working his way back from an injury. Discussing the business done so far, Davies is clearly pleased at the bang ambitious Blues have made.
