'GREATLY LOVED' 73-YEAR-OLD LOSES FIGHT FOR LIFE AFTER COLLISION

THE devastated children of a Birmingham professor have paid tribute to their "greatly loved" dad after he was fatally struck by a car.
Professor Harry Matlay, who taught at Birmingham City Business School, was rushed to hospital after he was struck by a car in Walsgrave Road, Coventry, just before 2pm on Friday, January 2.
The 73-year-old lost his fight for life in hospital on Wednesday.
