Axed Tigers boss linked to Albion job

ANOTHER Championship head-coaching vacancy has opened up alongside West Bromwich Albion, with Hull City confirming the dismissal of Ruben Selles.

This news comes as a surprise to some, given the Spaniard was able to guide the club to safety, albeit on goal difference to relegated Luton Town, having come in after the Tigers made a poor start to the season under previous boss Tim Walter.

Selles had previously been able to guide Reading out of trouble on the pitch amidst ownership struggles and take them to within a shot of the League One play-offs when he left them for Hull in December.

Selles won nine of his 28 games in charge at Hull, bringing the club to safety despite clear inconsistencies.
