Tributes have been paid by the family of a ‘loved and cherished’ local woman who died after she was hit by a van.

Cheryl Decart-eret, inset, 79, died in Melksham after a white transit van collided with her and her best friend.
Wiltshire Police said a 25-year-old man from Melksham had been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving under the influence of drugs after the incident in Lowbourne. He has since been bailed.
