Thaksin reports neck complaint

Former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra is suffering from neck bone deterioration.

A doctor will examine him at Klong Prem Central Prison in Bangkok today, says the Department of Corrections.
Deputy department spokeswoman Kanokwan Jiewchueaphan responded to reports that Thaksin had been transferred to the Medical Correctional Institution near his prison.
She clarified that no such transfer had taken place on Friday and confirmed that Thaksin remains at Klong Prem Central Prison.
