PPRP candidates call for Prawit to lead party again

Candidates from the Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP) yesterday urged former party leader Gen Prawit Wongsuwon to return to lead the party, saying his departure left them uncertain and weakened campaign morale.
The plea came as they gathered at the party’s headquarters in Bangkok. Some 100 candidates were expected to attend, but fewer than 10 showed up.
Gen Prawit stepped down as party leader early this month, citing health reasons, shortly after withdrawing as the party's prime ministerial candidate. He later assumed the role of chairman of the Party Advisory Board to provide strategic guidance.
