»Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has backed revising two longstanding memorandums of understanding with Cambodia - MoUs 43 and 44 - arguing that modern technology and internationally recognised standards should be used to clarify unresolved border issues.

Mr Anutin said the MoUs, signed in 2000 and 2001, relate to land border demarcation (43) and overlapping maritime zones (44).

He said the agreements should be revised or replaced with an updated framework, possibly under a new name such as "MoUs 69", to ensure clarity and relevance.

However, he noted his caretaker government lacked the mandate to pursue changes that would bind a future administration, as parliament had already been dissolved. The current priority, he said, was to maintain stability and clarity until the next government takes office.
