OAG reviews Cambodia rocket case

Police have submitted an investigation into Cambodia's cross-border rocket attacks to the Office of the Attorney-General (OAG) and are seeking legal action against Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen and Prime Minister Hun Manet, a senior prosecutor said.

Watcharin Phanurat, chief of the Department of Investigation at the OAG, said Provincial Police Region 3 formally requested that the case be treated as an extraterritorial offence under Thai law.

The attacks occurred between July 24 and 29, when Cambodian troops fired rockets and other ordinance across the border into the provinces of Surin, Buri Ram, Si Sa Ket, and Ubon Ratchathani.

The attacks killed 32 people and injured 328 others.
